Our Active Schools Committee has been leading the way to ensure that everyone at our school stays up and moving. As part of this commitment, we have continued our fantastic collaboration with UCC, welcoming excellent coaches into our school. These skilled coaches work with our students each week, bringing hockey into our physical education classes and making fitness fun, engaging, and inclusive for all.
In addition to regular PE, we have engaged students in numerous challenges, such as Skip Around the World, and incorporated daily movement breaks to keep everyone active throughout the day.
Active Schools, working alongside the Well-Being Committee, has also been promoting time outdoors and connecting with nature by planting flowers around the school grounds. This initiative highlights the benefits of getting up, moving, and enjoying the natural environment.
We are proud to see our students embracing an active lifestyle and look forward to continuing to promote movement, teamwork, and healthy habits throughout the school year.
